Certificate III in Bricklaying / Blocklaying (CPC33020)
This course will develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career in the building and construction bricklaying trade. Learn how to lay and bond bricks and similar building blocks and how to construct ornamental panels, feature walls, arches and columns just to name a few.

This course will develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career in the building and construction bricklaying trade. Learn how to lay and bond bricks and similar building blocks and how to construct ornamental panels, feature walls, arches and columns just to name a few.
Becoming a bricklayer will set you up for a great future in a field that is highly sort after. Many young men and women love Bricklaying for a range of reasons however one common statement made by Brickies is that they get the daily benefits of going to a Gym and get paid for it.
While carpenters have their specific skills and tasks to perform in the building process, carpenters must have knowledge of all other trades as a carpenter's work often accommodates the other trades who follow them.
The training is provided to our students by teachers that have been firstly apprentices themselves then moved on to become qualified tradesman themselves and still maintain industry currency by working with other contractors or running their own subcontracting businesses.
Course Fees
Apply The qualification requires the successful completion of 28 units of competency which includes 20 core and 8 electives. The units of competency currently shown in the table below indicate a possible direction. The units may change during the pre-training interview to better suit the type of work you undertake.

A person having successfully completed CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying / Blocklaying may seek employment undertaking the following tasks:

Education Pathway
After achieving the CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying / Blocklaying, candidates may be eligible to undertake the CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
