Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (CPC30620)

This course will develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career in the building and construction as a painter and decorator. You will receive comprehensive training for painting and decorating apprentices in all practical and theoretical aspects of the trade.

The training is provided to our students by teachers that have been firstly apprentices themselves then moved on to become qualified tradesman themselves and still maintain industry currency by working with other contractors or running their own subcontracting businesses.

The qualification requires the successful completion of 29 units of competency which includes 26 core and 3 electives. On successful completion of this course students will receive the qualification 22614VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry Pre-apprenticeship which is a nationally recognised qualification within Australia.

Students who do not fully complete the qualification but who are successful in completing a number of the units of competency will receive a statement of attainment for those units.

Employment Option

A person having successfully completed CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating may seek employment undertaking the following tasks:

After achieving the CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, candidates may be eligible to undertake the

CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or the
CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
